Answers, grouped by what you’re trying to do

Ten topics, forty questions, and no search box you have to guess the wording for. Four of these answers are no, and they are in the list rather than filtered out of it.

Getting started

What Calendaty is, what the free plan covers, and how long it takes to go live.

See the full feature list

What is Calendaty?

A booking platform with an AI agent standing in front of it: the customer asks, gets a real answer from your own catalogue, and leaves with a slot booked and paid for. Everything an ordinary scheduling link does sits underneath that.

How long does setup take?

An afternoon. Connect a calendar, add your services and your real hours, share the link — and if you want the agent, point Smart Setup at your website and it drafts the identity and tone for you.

What do I get on the free plan?

Unlimited services and bookings, two availability schedules, one seat and one booking page, with Zoom and Google Meet links and confirmation emails included. Payments, reminders and the agent start at Pro.

Do I need a card to try it?

No. Seven days on the top plan start by themselves the first time you sign in — no card, no authorization hold, no plan to pick — and on day seven it drops to Free unless you choose one.

Services and prices

How a service is built — its duration, its price, and where it happens.

Services and locations in full

What’s the difference between a service and an event type?

A service is what an event type becomes once it carries a price and a way to pay. Duration, price and location all live on it, and those are what shape the slot a customer sees.

Can each service have its own duration and price?

Yes, and its own location and its own rules with them. A 15-minute check-up and a 180-minute colour are two services, not two options inside one.

Can I run two branches from one account?

Yes — one organization, two locations, and staff assigned per location. The customer picks the branch first and then sees only the slots that branch can actually take.

Can I book a room instead of a person?

Model each room, chair or studio as a location and tie the service to it. A service only offers a slot when its space is free, so the edit suite cannot go out twice.

Your working hours

Schedules, date overrides, and the hours you actually want to sell.

How a salon runs its hours

How do I set my working hours?

With an availability schedule, per member and per team — the hours you actually want to sell rather than the hours you are awake. Schedules are on every plan; Free carries two of them.

Can I work different hours during Ramadan?

Yes — Ramadan hours are a second availability schedule, and even Free includes two. Keep your ordinary week in one and your post-Iftar hours in the other, switch which one is live for the month, and close Eid with a date override.

How do I close for a whole week?

One date override on the schedule. It closes those days without touching the bookings you have already taken, and the schedule behind it is untouched when the week ends.

Can I end up double-booked?

Not through Calendaty. Each person’s connected Google Calendar is checked for conflicts before a slot is ever offered, and the slot is held with a live countdown while your customer finishes booking it.

Cancellations and no-shows

Change-locks, lead time, and what protects your most valuable slots.

How a trainer protects peak hours

How do I stop last-minute reschedules?

Set a change-lock window per service — 24 hours on a colour, one hour on a trim. Inside it the customer can no longer move or cancel from the booking page, and you still can from the dashboard.

Can I require notice before someone books?

Yes — a minimum lead time, set per service. An hour before a check-up, forty-eight hours before a surgical slot, so nothing lands with no time to prepare for it.

What actually stops a no-show?

Payment taken at booking, a reminder before the appointment, and a change-lock so the slot cannot be dropped at the last minute. Those three together are what move the number — there is no deposit and no card held on file.

Can I set up a standing weekly appointment?

No. There is no recurrence on services: each session is booked on its own, either by the customer or created from your dashboard a few clicks at a time.

Taking payment

Payment at booking, paying at the venue, and refunds.

Compare what each plan includes

Can I take payment at the moment of booking?

Yes — Stripe or PayPal, from Pro. The service is charged in full as the slot is taken, and the transaction lands in one ledger with the customer and the appointment attached to it.

Can I take a deposit?

No, and there is no partial hold. A service is charged in full at booking or marked pay-locally and still tracked, and a change-lock window is what protects a high-value slot instead.

What if my customers pay in person?

Mark the service pay-locally and it is still a tracked booking: you mark it paid on the day, and it sits in the same transactions ledger as a card payment. From Pro.

Can I refund a booking?

Yes, in full or in part, from the appointment itself rather than from your Stripe dashboard. From Pro.

Teams and routing

Who takes the booking, and how it gets shared across a team.

How an agency shares a rota

Can a customer choose who they book with?

Yes — selective routing, on Pro. They ask for a named person, or the account manager they worked with last time, and only that person’s free slots appear.

How do I spread bookings evenly across the team?

Round-robin routing, on Growth. “Anyone available” goes to whoever is free next, so nobody starts the week with five bookings and nobody with none.

Can a booking require the whole team to attend?

Yes — collective meetings, on Pro. Every assigned member has to be free before the slot appears at all, and all of them are booked at once.

Can I cap a group class at eight people?

No — there is no attendee count, no capacity and no waitlist. Calendaty books one appointment per slot; a class can be blocked out as a single booked slot, but nothing counts or caps who is in it.

The AI agent

What the agent does, how it learns your business, and where it works.

Everything the agent can do

What does the AI agent actually do?

It answers from your own catalogue, recommends the right service, holds a real slot and takes the payment — the whole booking, inside the chat, at 23:40 if that is when someone asks. From Pro.

How does the agent learn my business?

You give it your price list, policies and preparation notes once — as written text, a question-and-answer set, or your website crawled. Smart Setup can read that site and draft the agent’s identity and tone for you.

Where does the agent work?

In web chat, wherever your booking page is — your own link, your site, your bio. It is not on WhatsApp, Instagram or Telegram: put the booking link in your WhatsApp Business profile or your bio and the agent picks the conversation up from there.

Can I read what the agent said to someone?

Yes — every conversation is kept and readable, and you can take one over yourself mid-chat. History runs 30 days on Pro, 90 days with search on Growth, and a year with export on Business.

Reminders and alerts

Who gets an email, when it arrives, and where your own team hears about it.

Every notification feature

Who gets an email, and when?

Your customer gets a confirmation with a calendar invite on every plan, and from Pro a reminder before the appointment and a follow-up after it, at offsets you set per service.

Do you send SMS reminders?

No, there is no SMS. Reminders and follow-ups reach your customers by email, and alerts to your own team go to Telegram, Slack or your own webhook.

Can notification emails come from my own address?

Yes — custom SMTP, on Growth. Every confirmation, reminder and follow-up then leaves from your own domain rather than from a generic sender.

How does my team hear about a new booking?

In-app, by email, or pushed to a Telegram or Slack group — or to your own webhook — the moment it happens. One checkbox per channel per event, from Pro.

Your brand and booking page

Colours, your own domain, the Calendaty badge, and Arabic.

How this compares with Calendly

Can the booking page look like my brand?

Yes. Free carries your logo and your brand colour; Pro adds the theme, photos, about text, contact details, social links and SEO, so the page reads as yours rather than as ours.

Can I serve the booking page from my own domain?

Yes — on Business. The whole booking flow runs from book.yourbrand.com, so a customer never leaves your brand in order to book with you.

Can I remove the “Powered by Calendaty” badge?

Yes, from Growth. It is the last line of us on your booking page, and it comes off.

Does it work in Arabic?

Yes, and right-to-left is the default rather than a setting you switch on — on the booking page and in the agent both. The agent answers in whatever language your customer wrote in.

Account and plan

Seats, changing plan, getting your data out, and closing the account.

See seats and limits per plan

How many people can I add?

One seat for each person who takes bookings: one on Free, up to 10 on Pro, up to 50 on Growth, and no limit on Business.

Can I change plan later?

Yes, at any time, and the plan you move to starts its monthly credits on day one. Nothing on your booking page has to be rebuilt when you move.

Can I get my data out?

Your appointments are already in the Google Calendar you connected, your payments sit in the transactions dashboard, and agent conversations export on Business. For anything beyond those, ask us.

How do I close my account?

You can drop to Free at any time and your booking page keeps running at no cost. To close the account altogether, write to us and we will take it from there.
